Hey there! I'm a photographer based out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania who specializes in lifestyle wedding and portrait photography.
Self-taught and college-educated professional photographer who discovered a love for painting with light and documenting emotions.
When not doing photography, my favorite past times includes being a gamer mom, enjoying new music, and hiding away in my home to protect my precioussss....
Summer is flying by, and Autumn is right around the corner. Or at least that’s what I’m telling myself as I stare at the astronomically high temperatures over here in Philly. I have no idea why the weather is hideously hot, but it just is. Spring feels like a distant memory which is when this Engagement session took place for Adrenee and Awadalla.
These two had fantastic energy and a hilarious sense of humor. I loved how Adrenee was so in charge of everything and radiated confidence throughout the session. Awadalla was like a perfect balance to mellow her down with his chill, laid-back demeanor. Together, they were an ideal match of spice and sweetness, providing tons of laughs, silly moments, and just being their true selves.
It’s essential to me clients are themselves around me. It’s the one thing I push for and see as my signature style. I love posed photography as much as the next person, but there’s something natural about seeing a person be who they are. A candid moment where the other is caught off guard and laughter is given more freely instead of on cue.
It’s the way eyes twinkle when two people look at each other or the quirk of lips that can’t help but to turn into a grin. I love these moments because they’re so genuine and honest for me. They tell such a better story than any posed portrait could. Sure, it might not be for everyone, but that’s why I consider my approach ultimately niche and catered to an audience who can appreciate genuine moments like this.
While I love capturing candid moments, I have been gearing up for more portrait-style shoots and projects now that I have a new studio out in Philadelphia! Finally, a place I can call my own where I can take beautiful headshots, portraits, and of course, meet my clients for any meetings.
Well, at least when COVID-19 clears up indefinitely. The pandemic is getting a teeny bit scary again, so; unfortunately, I’ll have to limit the numbers until things are back under control. But yes, I have a studio. Awesome, right? When you come to book me, we have a chill place to sit, get to know each other, and talk pictures (and video games).
Okay, enough of me babbling. We’re here for pictures. We did this session over by the Art Museum near Fairmount Water Works. Unfortunately, it was a hectic day, but we made the best of it and maneuvered around the crowds getting what we could.
I love this area because of all the cute nooks and crannies to just stash away and get a quick shot. One of these days, I hope to do a wedding by the Water Works, but that’s to be determined. All I know is I can’t wait for these two and their marriage. I know it’s going to be a blast.
