Hey there! I'm a photographer based out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania who specializes in lifestyle wedding and portrait photography.
I'm an artist of various mediums both traditional and digital art. My strongest area is photography, a love discovered while attending AiPH. I discovered a love for painting with light and documenting emotion and never looked back..
When not working, hobbies include gaming casually, enjoying new music, and trying not to be a hermit afraid to come out of her cave.
This stunning woman I photographed earlier this year when the weather was finally starting to get warmer. We opted to do the session around Rittenhouse Square in Philadelphia and found some unique alleyways and areas to proceed. This lifestlyle session was particularly special, as it was her birthday and she wanted to celebrate with a gorgeous session! With the pandemic making celebratiosn difficult with its restrictions, this was her gift to herself which she took full advantgage of.
As you can see, Shawna is incredibly beautiful, but looks aren’t the only thing she’s got going on. She was very specific about wanting to incorporate a motorcycle into the session and I was all for it. Maybe it was just me, but I got serious Aaliyah vibes which really made me happy. It’s not often I get to do sessions like this but I always jump at the opportunity. It allows me to try something different and break out from my norm. This time, it wasn’t done during my usual golden hour, but in full-blown direct sunlight. I surprised myself with how much easier it was for me to do that since in the past direct light used to be a real killer in my pictures. Now? Now I can handle ti with ease and it definitely shows (although, I like golden hour more!).
Even though she was a little nervous before our shoot (who wouldn’t be?), Shawna was able to relax pretty quickly and we got some gorgeous shots.
She brought two different outfits for the session and each looked amazing on her. A bit of spice and sweetness is what I would describe the looks she brought.
No more talking – let’s get to the pictures!
