By now you already have your venue picked out and the whole theme for what you have in mind. Now comes the most important part—the photographer. The one who will tell the story from start to finish.

My approach with weddings is to capture the day as it unfolds with a small touch of intentional style and guidance for natural looking pictures. Educated and trained in photojournalism, I use this to my advantage by capturing everything and composing it into a story. I don't do too much posing, except for bridals and family portraits, and prefer to instead have a more hands off approach. I believe a wedding image that freezes a moment or memory is far more important than just a pretty photo.

My style can be described as documentary with a little touch of artful direction. I am the photographer for couples who don't want to spend their day just posing for pictures, but still have an appreciation for the artistry in photography. I create a visual retelling of your day, one you share with future generations and make them feel as though they are right there with you.

Most importantly, you want to work with someone who can make you feel comfortable and understand all your ins and outs without judgment. So to all my fellow introverts, nerds, neurodivergent, autism, or just plain weird folks, look no further — I am your photographer.

I'm the artist behind SGW Photography—the home for my love of photography turned into a full-time profession. I'm ecstatic that you're here to consider me for potentially capturing your wedding!

I wrote this site with the hope that I can speak to you directly through my words and my work since, as an introvert, words can fail me in person. This way, you have a better idea about me and if I'm the photographer for you. My whole purpose is creating stories through imagery and I'd love to be able to work with you in doing just that.

I'm Sabrina!

"Sabrina was easy to work with. She made as feel comfortable in front of the camera and was patient with our wedding party, getting everyone together for photos. It was fun to look at the photos she captured afterwards especially the candid moments that I didn't remember."

Kind Words

Sabrina photographed our engagement photos in Philadelphia then our wedding in Jamaica, it was great to have that consistency with our images and to have her photograph our wedding day so beautifully(especially during covid). She is very detailed and loves what she does and that shows in the beautiful images she captures!

After photographing so many weddings over the years, I have found that I'm not the perfect fit for every couple. That’s why this process begins with a conversation.

We’ll get to know one another, talk about the details of your day, answer any questions you might have  and figure out if we’re the best fit for each other. Don't worry, if it's not me, I am happy to help find you a photographer that fits you better!

01: GET IN TOUCH

Step One

You did it! We decided to make it official and now you're ready to book! One thing I always say is that it is never too early to book! Once we confirm that we're officially working together, I send over a custom online booking proposal so you can review the package, sign the contract, and pay a deposit of $1000 to hold the date. The remaining balance due before the day of the wedding.

Now that you're officially booked, the next step is a fun one...

02: save the date

Step Two

I am a huge fan of engagement sessions for a few reasons. Not only do they allow you to get comfortable in front of the camera, they also give you the opportunity to showcase your personalities in a more casual setting that is significant to the two of you.

Engagement sessions can take place anywhere from immediately following a proposal to just a few days before the wedding. I have found that there isn’t a “good” or “bad” time to take your photos. Plus, these sessions are amazing ice breakers and kind of a 'trial run' experience of what working with me will be like.

03: engagement session

Step Three

I check-in about two months before the wedding to start chatting about timeline specifics, special details, family formal shot lists, special traditions and anything else I should know about your big day. This is to create a custom timeline tailored to capture every part of your day.

This list ensures your wedding receives the full coverage of editorial-ready photographs that look like they came straight out of a magazine! A photography-friendly timeline ensures a beautifully curated vision of your big day.

04: wedding prep

Step Four

It's finally here! The day the two of you say "I Do" and dance the night away surrounded by your family and friends. You'll be fully prepared for what to do and have a full idea of how I like to capture the wedding day. Whether I'm guiding you or simply letting you be as you are, your photos will always showcase you being in your most purest element—yourself.

05: wedding Day

Step Five

A fully finished gallery is delivered to your email within 6-8 weeks. Every single photo is curated and retouched for polished results. I take pride in being able to say I do all my own editing using the latest software and enhancements—I'm a one woman art machine. Because of this, I allow myself a window frame where I can edit with the utmost attention to detail.

The relationship doesn't end after delivering your photographs. I want to hear about the adventures of married life. And if you decide to have kids (yes, even the furry kind!), I would love to document your growing family.

Sweet! To reserve your wedding date, we’ll need a completed contract and a $1000 deposit. The booking process is done all online to make it easier for you! The remaining balance will be due 1 week before the wedding.

01. WE LOVE YOUR WORK AND WE’RE READY TO BOOK! WHAT’S THE NEXT STEP?

Galleries typically include anywhere between 400 and 600 photos. The exact amount varies from wedding to wedding. Your online gallery will come loaded with fully-edited high resolution to share with friends and family. You’re also welcome to share your wedding photos on social media or make gift prints for friends.

02. HOW MANY PHOTOS ARE TYPICALLY INCLUDED AND CAN WE PRINT THE PHOTOS OURSELVES?

I would describe my style as blending photojournalism with fine art to create a colorful and rich story filled of emotion. I am a sucker for a good moment captured perfectly and aim to re-tell weddings the way they are meant to be told as it's happening. I am the hired personal fly on the wall recording all those little details you'll go back and visit years later and be thankful it was something captured.  I want to capture the essence of your day and turn it into timeless pieces for you to appreciate for a lifetime.

03. WHAT’S YOUR STYLE OF PHOTOGRAPHY?

My specialty lies with still photography only. It is my hope to eventually branch into videography, but until then, this is my preferred format to work with.

For video, I happily provide a referral list of talented videographers in the area that have worked with or know to be reputable.

04. DO YOU OFFER VIDEO?

Yes, I always have a helping assistant/second photographer who will be with me for large scale events. Smaller events will usually just include me only.

05. DO YOU HAVE A SECOND PHOTOGRAPHER?

I do all my editing and retouching myself. In my contract I state it takes anywhere between 6-8 weeks. However realistically speaking, it's usually 4-6 week.

06. HOW LONG DO YOU TAKE TO DELIVER THE PHOTOS?

Yes, I do! In fact, they're my favorite type of weddings to cover. I love the intimacy of a joyous occasion between a few people or just the two of you. When I got married, my wedding was also considered what is now called 'micro'. I didn't think I needed a photographer since it was small. Now I wish I invested and encourage you to do the same!. Even if your ceremony is nothing more than ten minutes in front of a court judge, it's still a moment worth documenting. Trust me.

07. DO YOU COVER MICRO-WEDDINGS AND ELOEPEMENTS?

Yep, I can relate! A photographer afraid to take pictures? That's me! Even when I'm posed I feel awkward. It's just how I am. Taking pictures comes naturally for some, yet for us, its a tornado. But hey, we don't have to be super models to take beautiful portraits. I've learned the best portraits are the ones where we're just being ourselves. Memories and moments are what I'm here for. Guiding you until you can find a groove that works for you. It's all about me working with you until we nail that perfect shot. TL;DR, I got you.

08. I'M SUPER AWKWARD IN PICTURES. CAN YOU HELP WITH THAT?

Yes, I do! I am available year-round for 950 which includes up to two hours of coverage, editing, time, and delivery of images. Learn more by heading over to Portraits.

09. DO you photograph portraits like families, couples, or individuals?

The best time to book your wedding is at least 8-10 months from the date of your wedding. Micro-weddings and Elopements can be booked at anytime.

10. When should we book you?
