Being able to work as a destination wedding photographer was an experience I will never forget. Despite COVID-19, it was one of my bucket list dreams accomplished.
Day Two of my trip to Jamaica for a destination wedding was even more exciting than the first! After we wrapped up the pre-wedding festivities on the catamaran, it was back to the hotel. Like Marrissa & Sandy’s wedding in September, there were multiple protocols followed. Masks were worn and distributed throughout the day, and distance was given between guests. It also helped that everyone who attended the ceremony was tested for COVID-19 before arriving in Jamaica.
Ben and Keshema were excited and ready to tie the knot among friends and family. We began the day by capturing the bridal parties and getting ready. Keshema got ready in her suite, surrounded by her friends and Ben in another part of the resort. Rockhouse Hotel did a fantastic job handling the entire ceremony.
After that, it was off to the ceremony, where both said their vows surrounded by friends and family. A beautiful day—sunny skies and humid Jamaican heat—made this wedding magical. Despite the heat that practically melted me, I loved every moment. I couldn’t wipe the smile off my face even if I tried. I kept capturing everything I possibly could until all my energy was depleted. It was the longest I’ve ever worked for a wedding but one I would happily do all over again.
Thank you to everyone that made the ceremony fantastic. Maybe I’ll be back to shoot another wedding in Jamaica!
