Elopements are great for the couple that wants to wed quickly and privately. Katherine reached out to discuss capturing their elopement in May. I am fond of small ceremonies as I believe in keeping them simple. Therefore, I was thrilled when I was booked to capture their Elopement out in West Chester. This was an absolute dream, and the day was perfect. On a beautiful Spring day, Brian and Katherine set out to West Chester, PA, to wed at the Chester Courthouse. Remarkable fact: Katherine’s greatest of great grandfathers designed the original courthouse in the area. It was a moment back in history for the pair to photograph their first look portraits at this beautiful building with gorgeous pillars and historical architecture.
After a moment to relish it, the pair walked off to the courthouse, where they met with the excellent Honorable Judge Robert Shenkin in his office. After an exchange of vows under the watchful eye of her twin sister, they became husband and wife. Simple, emotional, and perfect. After that, we traveled to Longwood Gardens, where the trio celebrated and exchanged personal vows in front of a scenic waterfall. Philadelphia Elopements are great for the couple who wants to keep it simple, and this couple did just that.
It reminded me of my wedding day, minus we failed to hire a photographer. Memories I hope I will never forget. The memories will always be with these beautiful photographs of these two. Congratulations, Brian and Katherine!
